General FAQ’s

Scholly Search gives students a list of scholarships curated by our dedicated team to ensure you’re receiving the most relevant scholarships. With our in-app features, students can track and manage their progress on individual scholarships, like if they’ve started an application or have won! A Scholly Search membership also includes access to Scholly Editor* and Scholly Math. And unlike many other tools out there, we’ll never sell your data to third-party companies.

We want to stress that Scholly Search isn’t just for high school students. Many students are under the impression that once they’re in college or beyond, they can no longer apply for scholarships. This is far from the truth. While many scholarships are targeted towards high school seniors that are applying to college or have already been admitted, there are also numerous scholarships meant specifically for students currently attending college or graduate school. Don’t forget to update your profile as you enter a new school year to ensure that you receive the strongest matches!

A Scholly membership includes full access to the entire Scholly Platform: Scholly Search, Scholly Editor, and Scholly Math.

A Scholly membership costs $44.99/year or $4.99/month. With an annual membership, you will save 25% and get the chance to start with a Scholly free trial!

Our database is updated weekly. On the Matches screen, users will be able to see scholarships labeled “New” at the top of their list, letting them know immediately when they’ve been matched with new and updated scholarships. If a scholarship remains inactive for a long period of time, it will be removed from our database.

Good news! You don’t. Well, sort of. The truth is, most scholarship essay prompts are the same or very similar. Many of them are about leadership, community service, goals, and your best or worst subject. Write a few essays then revise them to fit different prompts.

Not yet, though we’re working on it! Right now we’re focused on giving students the ability to find scholarships as quickly as possible and to improve their writing and math skills. As we improve our platform, we’ll let users know about new features as soon as they’re released.

The Scholly Score is calculated based on the number of matched parameters between a scholarship and a member, as well as the level of competition for the scholarship. For each scholarship you’re matched with, you’ll notice a Scholly Score, from 1-10, on the right side of your screen. The higher the Scholly Score, the stronger the match!

Make sure your profile is up-to-date. For example, if you signed up as a high school senior and are now a college freshman, double-check that your profile reflects that. More importantly, the Miscellaneous portion of your profile is one of the best ways to expand your search. Don’t forget to take some time, look through the available options, and select every one that applies to you. This will help our algorithm match you with as many choices as possible. Happy hunting!
