You agree to receive recurring marketing, promotional and transactional personalized text (e.g., SMS and MMS) messages (e.g., scholarship reminders, financial aid options, and information regarding loans FAFSA help, etc.) from or on behalf of SLM NitroCollege LLC, Sallie Mae Bank, and/or their affiliates, subsidiaries, and parent companies (collectively, “we” or “us”), services, including text messages that may be sent using an automatic telephone dialing system, to the mobile telephone number(s) you have provided us. Consent to receive automated marketing text messages is not a condition of any purchase or use of any products or services from or through us. Message and data rates may apply.

Message frequency will vary. We reserve the right to alter the frequency of messages sent at any time, so as to increase or decrease the total number of sent messages. we also reserve the right to change the shortcode or phone number from which messages are sent and we will notify you when we do so.

Not all mobile devices or handsets may be supported, and our messages may not be deliverable in all areas. We, our service providers and the mobile carriers supported by the program are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

IMPORTANT NOTICE: AT THE OUTSET, PLEASE NOTE THAT THESE MESSAGING TERMS CONTAIN AN ARBITRATION REQUIREMENT AND CLASS ACTION WAIVER. THESE ITEMS ARE DISCUSSED IN MORE DETAIL IN SECTION 18 OF OUR TERMS OF SERVICE, BUT, IN SUMMARY, THIS MEANS THAT IF THERE IS A DISPUTE BETWEEN YOU AND US, YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO ARBITRATE ANY CLAIMS YOU HAVE AGAINST US ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS. ARBITRATION ON AN INDIVIDUAL BASIS MEANS YOU WILL NOT HAVE THE RIGHT FOR A JUDGE OR JURY TO DECIDE YOUR CLAIMS, AND THAT YOU MAY NOT PROCEED IN A CLASS, CONSOLIDATED, OR REPRESENTATIVE CAPACITY.

Electronic Consent

You consent to receive the text message consent on the webpage with the check box (the “Text Consent”) electronically. This consent only applies to the electronic delivery of the Text Consent. You understand that you need a device with internet access and a recent-generation internet browser to view the Text Consent and a printer or storage device to save it. You may withdraw your permission to receive the Text Consent electronically by unchecking the check box, but doing so will mean that you will not receive the automated text messages described in the Text Consent. You may update your contact information with Nitro at Update My Profile, with Scholly at My Settings and you may update your contact information with Sallie Mae by logging into your Sallie Mae account. The Text Consent is not available in a nonelectronic form.

Cancellation

Text the keyword STOP to any shortcode or phone number to cancel texts through that short code or number. After texting STOP, you will receive one additional message confirming that your request has been processed as to that shortcode or number. You acknowledge that our text message platform may not recognize and respond to unsubscribe requests that do not include the STOP keyword command and agree that neither we nor our service providers will have any liability for failing to honor such requests.

If you unsubscribe from one of our text message programs (or through a particular number or short code), you may continue to receive text messages from us through any other programs (or through a particular number or short code) you have joined until you separately unsubscribe from those programs (or through a particular number or short code).
